Cantagallo Mural

Cantagallo is the largest urban Shipibo-Konibo community in Lima, home to artists, healers and weavers who keep the kené tradition alive at the heart of the capital.

We produced a large-format collaborative mural at the community's primary school, bringing together Brazilian artists Igor Izy and Héu with Shipibo collective Soi Niwe.

The intervention was conceived as a visual dialogue between contemporary urban art and ancestral pictorial tradition, without hierarchies. Art direction, on-site production and trilingual audiovisual documentation framed the project as a shared authorship, recognizing the community as co-creator.
